After purchasing the eSIM from Truely’s app or official website, you’ll receive an email from us containing the QR and activation code.
Typically this will look like this:

Manually Installing eSIMs on iOS Devices
Note: Before getting started, make sure that you have:
An eSIM-compatible device (iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, or later)
An eSIM provider’s QR/activation code and other installation details.
Wi-Fi network
VIA THE QR CODE
Open the ‘CAMERA’ app.
Scan the QR Code provided by Truely.
Tap the ‘CELLULAR PLAN DETECTED’ notification as it appears.
Click on ‘CONTINUE’ at the bottom of the screen.
Tap ‘ADD CELLULAR PLAN.’
If a confirmation code is requested, enter the activation code sent to your email.
VIA THE ACTIVATION CODE
Go to ‘SETTINGS.’
Tap either ‘CELLULAR’ or ‘MOBILE DATA.’
Tap ‘ADD CELLULAR PLAN.’
Click on ‘ENTER DETAILS MANUALLY’ at the bottom of the screen.
Type in all required information. These will be included in the email we’ll send you as well.
Manually Installing eSIMs on Android Devices
Note: Before getting started, make sure that you have:
An eSIM-compatible device (Check compatibility here.)
An eSIM provider’s QR/activation code and other installation details.
Wi-Fi network
VIA THE QR CODE
Go to ‘SETTINGS.’
Click ‘NETWORK & INTERNET.’
Select the ‘ADD’ or ‘+’ icon in the ‘MOBILE NETWORK’ tab.
When you see a ‘DON’T HAVE A SIM CARD?’ pop-up, click on ‘NEXT.’
Select ‘SCAN CARRIER QR CODE’ and scan the QR code provided by Truely.
If a confirmation code is requested, enter the activation code sent to your email.
Go to ‘MOBILE NETWORK’ (also under ‘NETWORK & INTERNET’) and turn on or select your eSIM.
Enable ‘MOBILE DATA’ and ‘DATA ROAMING.’
Make sure that your physical SIM card is turned off to ensure that you won’t get charged roaming fees when overseas.
VIA THE ACTIVATION CODE
Go to ‘SETTINGS.’
Click ‘NETWORK & INTERNET.’
Select the ‘ADD’ or ‘+’ icon in the ‘MOBILE NETWORK’ tab.
When you see a ‘DON’T HAVE A SIM CARD?’ pop-up, click on ‘NEXT.’
Select ‘SCAN CARRIER QR CODE’ and click on ‘ENTER CODE INSTEAD.’
Paste the SM-DP+Address and Activation Code provided by Truely.
Go to ‘MOBILE NETWORK’ (also under ‘NETWORK & INTERNET’) and turn on or select your eSIM.
Enable ‘MOBILE DATA’ and ‘DATA ROAMING.’
